The Maryland Daily Record Names impactHR One of 2024’s “Best Women-Owned Businesses in Maryland”

The Daily Record’s award honors Mitchell and select Maryland women business owners for their achievements driving customer service, business growth and Maryland’s economic dynamism

October 1, 2024, Columbia, MD – impactHR LLC, a full-service human resources management and consulting firm, has been named one of the “Best Women-Owned Businesses in Maryland” by the Maryland Daily Record.

The Daily Record this year launched its newest recognition program – “In the Lead: Best Women-Owned Businesses in Maryland” – to honor accomplished companies in Maryland owned by women that demonstrate excellence across a broad spectrum of criteria.

This list, comprising 56 companies across the state, was compiled by The Daily Record’s editorial leadership team based in part on recommendations from the community as well as its own internal research.

To quality for recognition, a company must be entirely or substantially owned by a woman, or women, and based in Maryland. Nominees were asked to complete an application outlining their educational and career history, professional and community involvement, corporate and nonprofit board memberships and mentoring experience.

In March 2023, Mitchell was named one of “Maryland’s Top 100 Women” for 2023 by The Daily Record (an award Mitchell also received in 2019).

Mitchell also received a 2022 Torch Award for Ethics by the Better Business Bureau (BBB) of Greater Maryland – the BBB’s most prestigious business award. impactHR, under Mitchell’s leadership, has long maintained an A+ rated accreditation with the BBB of Greater Maryland.

In addition, the Asian American Chamber of Commerce (AACC), in May 2022, named Mitchell and impactHR an awardee for its 2022 Jewels of Asia Gala. The AACC’s award recognized Mitchell ‘s efforts leading impactHR’s commitment to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion resulting in notable success, partnerships and positive collaboration.
