Press Release: Kelly Mitchell Serves on Leadership Committee to Select Baltimore’s 2016 SmartCEO Future 50 Winners

Mitchell part of select group of four Baltimore Business and Community Leaders who evaluated and selected 2016’s 50 winning companies

January 18, 2016, Columbia, MD – Kelly Mitchell, founder and principal at impactHR, LLC, a full-service human resources management and consulting firm, served as one of four independent business and community leaders who evaluated and selected the winning companies for SmartCEO’s Baltimore 2016 Future 50 Awards.

SmartCEO’s Future 50 Awards program recognizes 50 of the Baltimore region’s fastest growing, mid-sized companies, representing the future employment growth and overall strength of the Baltimore region’s economy. As part of this annual program, select companies in large “Blue Chip” and small “Emerging Growth” categories are also recognized.

The 50 winning companies, all listed alphabetically and not ranked, were chosen based on a three-year average of employee and revenue growth. The 2016 winning companies, which are covered in the January-February 2016 issue of SmartCEO magazine, will be honored at the SmartCEO Future 50 awards gala, Thursday, January 21 at the Hunt Valley Inn.

impactHR’s Mitchell, along with three other independent leaders in Greater Baltimore, evaluated all nominations based on the Future 50 selection criteria and were responsible for making the final 50 winning selections. The other three committee members are: Ash Shukla, owner of Financial CHAKRAS; Jonathan Balog, Vice President of Marketing and Communications, Goodwill Industries of the Cheseapeake; and Susan Eng, USI Insurance Services.

Mitchell is a human resources professional with more than 20 years of experience providing expertise and services to an array of fast-growth organizations. Her certified skills and experience include assessment of the HR infrastructure and the establishment or enhancement of the HR function. She also is an expert in the implementation of best practices in the areas of recruitment/staffing, employee retention, compensation, benefits and employee relations; development and implementation of HR information management systems; creation of effective performance management strategies; and development and facilitation of various organizational development programs.

Mitchell also is qualified to administer the DiSC Assessment Tool, Myers Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI), Strong Interest InventoryTM, Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation-BehaviorTM (FIRO-B®) and the Strength Deployment Inventory (SDI). She holds a B.S. in Psychology from Towson State University and a M.S. in Human Resources Management from Widener University.
