KELLY A. MITCHELL, M.S., SPHR, SHRM-SCP
Kelly Mitchell, founder and principal of impactHR, LLC, is a human resources professional with more than 20 years of experience providing expertise and services to an array of fast-growth organizations. She brings to each client her ability to listen, assess and develop customized solutions for effective employment management and workplace strategies, enabling her clients to focus on the financial growth of their businesses.
Kelly’s certified skills and experience include assessment of the HR infrastructure and the establishment or enhancement of the HR function. She also is an expert in the implementation of best practices in the areas of recruitment/staffing, employee retention, compensation, benefits and employee relations; development and implementation of HR information management systems; creation of effective performance management strategies; and development and facilitation of various organizational development programs.
Kelly is qualified to administer the DiSC Assessment Tool, Myers Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI), Strong Interest Inventory®, Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation-Behavior (FIRO-B®) and the Strength Deployment Inventory (SDI). She holds a B.S. in Psychology from Towson State University and a M.S. in Human Resources Management from Widener University.
LI NA S. GOINS, MBA, CCP, SHRM-SCP
Li Na Goins is an accomplished HR executive with significant experience leading, developing and implementing integrated HR initiatives to support strategic business goals. Goins is an acknowledged expert globally in total rewards, HRIS, strategic planning, employee relations, mergers & acquisitions and operations management.
Regarded as a strategic-minded, trusted business partner who drives key HR initiatives, Goins is skilled in guiding senior leadership in critical decision-making capabilities. She also has provided HR expertise for non-profit, labor union and federal government environments to impact positively organization-wide success.
In her previous experiences, Goins served as Vice President with Towne Park, responsible for directing the overall management of the company’s Total Rewards, Payroll, Background Screening, HR Solutions and HRIS functions. She also was Director for Compensation, Systems and Reporting with the Johns Hopkins Health System and was Senior Director for Compensation, Benefits and HRIS with Acentia. In addition, Goins was Founder and Principal of HR INTELLA, an HR consulting service that focused on a range of HR services including payroll and staffing, EEO compliance and HR audits.
Goins holds a BS in Business Administration and Computer Science from Notre Dame of Maryland University and an MBA with an emphasis in Human Resources Management from the New York Institute of Technology.
LISA FIRST, SPHR
Practice Leader / Senior Consultant
Lisa brings 15+ years experience managing all aspects of HR including recruitment, employment, compliance, onboarding/off-boarding, performance management, comp & total rewards, employee engagement, talent management and succession planning.
As a strategic business partner, Lisa has led or consulted on the development and implementation of strategic initiatives designed to improve corporate image and employee morale while increasing operational efficiency and compliance. Lisa’s expertise has been developed through her broad exposure to companies in the gaming, hospitality, airline, healthcare and technology industries.
Mary Davis has over 30 years of Human Resources management experience. Her experience includes the development and management of strategic programs around talent and leadership development, organizational development, career management and HR planning. Recently, Mary served as the principal human resources consultant to develop and launch the original Women’s United Soccer Association (WUSA) league.
Mary has been on the faculty at Georgetown University’s Master’s in Sports Industry Management program for 4 years, teaching Applied Ethics in Sports, Corporate Social Responsibility, Internship II and Capstone. She has been honored with the Georgetown University Tropaia Award for Outstanding Faculty Member. She has developed and facilitated numerous programs around personal and professional development. Mary has worked in various industries including includes health care, college and universities, green energy, sports and entertainment. Mary provides innovative services, solutions and programs to both small and large organizations.
Human Resources Consultant
Marilyn Duley brings more than twenty years of experience managing all aspect of HR including compensation and benefits, workforce planning, employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, training and career development, organization development and strategic management.
She has worked extensively in the government contracting and sports and entertainment fields. She has broad knowledge and experience with the Service Contract and Davis Bacon Acts.
Marilyn holds a bachelor’s of science in business management and has her certificate in human resources management from the University of Maryland University College.
Executive Assistant / Office Manager
Barbara A. Nicholson is Executive Assistant and Office Manager at impactHR. Nicholson brings 18 years of professional office management, accounting and human resources experience to her new position. In her current role, Barbara is responsible for providing a wide range of office management and support to the impactHR team including accounting, HR and office facility management. Nicholson’s primary focus, in addition to other duties, is managing impactHR’s accounting processes and performing general executive administrative duties. Barbara holds a Bachelor of Arts in business administration with a minor in accounting from the University of Maryland University College.
Marketing and Communications
Ken brings significant experience running marketing and communications programs to drive business growth. Ken began his career as Managing Editor of Albuquerque Monthly magazine, covering politics and culture in New Mexico. Ken then entered government, serving as Press Secretary for U.S. Rep. Sherrod Brown (OH) and Deputy Press Secretary for U.S. Sen. Jeff Bingaman (NM), focusing on a range of issues including education, employment and technology-based economic development. With his public policy background and interest in technology, Ken joined the Kauffman Foundation as Senior Analyst, helping to develop programs to drive technology-based entrepreneurship and job growth in local communities. He later managed marketing programs for two enterprise software companies, Perceptive Software and Ellucian.
